Happy Birthday Josie

Friday was Josie's birthday, she is five now hooray. I can't believe it already. She was really excited for her birthday. It was hard watching every one else have their birthday before you. She told every one she came in contact with the day before that the next day was her birthday. The morning of her birthday we had to bake the cake first thing. Josie always loves to help with that process. Isn't she cute?!

Of course the birthday girl gets to lick the beater.

Anthony got the spatula.

We were going to go and eat lunch with dad on her birthday, so I called his work number as we were getting ready to leave to see what he wanted to eat. Well, he didn't answer his phone so I continued to scramble around getting myself and every one else ready to get out the door on time when he called back. He called me back on his cell phone which was very weird, it turned out that he surprised us by taking a half day vacation so we could celebrate Josie' s birthday without being rushed before we had to leave for our dinner plans. Josie was very happy because it meant she could open her presents that much sooner.

Yeah, she got some more horses!! She also got some more cars and a movie about a horse called Spirit. She loved the movie too. She also got a beautiful dolphin necklace and a bracelet that has her name on it.
Josie got a new beautiful doll, which she named Rose after herself since her middle name is Rose. Sorry Rose, not after you.

Here it is the much anticipated horse cake. This is all I have heard her talk about since we made Anthony's cake last month. " I want a horse cake for my birthday."

Needless to say she loved her cake so I was happy!

For her birthday dinner we decided to go on a dinner boat cruise. We asked her if that sounded like fun and she loved the idea of eating on a boat. She was so excited that there was an upstairs and downstairs. I think she told every one that we were going to go on a boat for her birthday. Here we are outside the port waiting to dock.

That was our boat for the evening.
Anthony kept calling the pelicans a goofy sounding name, it sounded like he was saying alligator.
As the boat left the port they announced special things that people who were on board were celebrating, so over the speaker they announced Happy Birthday, to Josie and then every one clapped and she was so happy to be acknowledged.

Here we are up top, this is where we ate our dinner. We had a real nice view from up here. We sat with another couple who came with us, Al and his wife Pam, they were celebrating their 42ND wedding anniversary.

After dinner it started raining, we were able to sit there for a little bit longer before we were forced to go downstairs.
Thanks to every one who called our Josie to wish her a Happy Birthday! She was so happy to talk to every one and it really made her feel special. I think she had a great birthday, thanks to every one for all the wonderful gifts. She got some money from Aunt Teresa, great grandparents and Melissa. She had so much fun going to the store and picking out toys. She bought herself some more horses, a sea lion at the zoo on Saturday and a new baby doll. The new doll she is able to take it into the bath tub which is really exciting. Thanks to Gramma and Grandadda for the new clothes, book, horse doll and little people toy, she loves them all. Thanks to Grandma and Papa for the new horses, she sleeps with them every night. Thanks to Rose for the cool horse books and thanks to Shannon for her cool book too. We love you all!!
Happy Birthday sweet Josie, we love you so much and are so blessed by you!!!

That looks like a splendid birthday! She is such a darling little girl! And I'm just tickled pink that she would name her doll after me since we all know Josie is named after me....
