Day 6

Here we are at Key West. We were actually able to dock at the port which was really nice. Expect we had to wait to get off the ship due to Customs coming onto the ship. Everyone had to show their passports to them before leaving the ship. These pictures were taken while still on the ship waiting for our turn.

Key West was our final stop before the cruise ended. We decided not to do a tour so instead we did our own walking and exploring.

This is the second largest Banyan tree in Florida. This tree starts in the front of the house and finishes in the back of the house. It is a very interesting type of tree. Another thing that we learned while in Key West is that chickens run wild. It is illegal to harass them if you are caught harassing them or killing them you have to pay a fee.

I thought the trees were really pretty out there. Some beautiful tropical flowers.

Here we are at the Southernmost point. We are officially 90 miles away from Cuba.

We had to stay and watch the sunset over the water. It was absolutely breathtaking.

After we walked back were we came from we decided to take a tour of the Aquarium in Key West. We saw lots of nurse sharks, sting rays, fish and a couple of eels. Outside they had some turtles to look at and a couple more sharks. It was quite interesting.

After we went through the Aquarium we went and toured Ripley's Believe it or not.

We saw some interesting things in there. For instance a two headed turtle.

Then of course what could be more interesting then a pair of Madonna's panties. If you look closely the crouch is gold and she autographed it for everyone.

We had a great time on Key West, is was very beautiful there. We saw many things when we were out exploring for instance Harry Truman and Ernest Hemingway's homes. We saw a light house which was very nice and many little shops and restaurants along the way.
