Poppa's 88th Birthday

On July 15Th, 16Th and 17Th we had a weekend of celebration down at the Embassy for a special person in our family Matt's grandfather Poppa. Poppa will turn 88 on August 30Th. There is a story about this number. Every year on his birthday when the grand kids were younger and they would ask him how old he was he would answer 88 will finally he is turning 88 so of course we had to celebrate it. We started it with a dinner at Rick's Boat Yard. Some of the flooding by the restaurant from the Missouri River

On Saturday morning we took a tour on Ollie the Trolley. The tour was a history of Poppa's life pretty much after college. Here are some pictures from it.

That afternoon it was a free for all until dinner time so went to a farmers market downtown and then to lunch finally we even had some fun in the pool

Happy 88Th birthday Poppa, we love you so much. It was great celebrating it with you, because of you and Pauline this family is what we are. You are a great example to us and we thank you for all your love and support.
