On Friday morning Zachary and I headed back over to Shannon's house so I could finish the cake for the party that night. Jessica was a great helper as you can see, she really enjoyed the clean up part of the job.
We had a dress as your favorite superhero theme for the party so we all got dressed up while we waited for Jacob to get back from buying flowers for our Grandma Gowans since it was her real birthday that day. Zachary was Scooby Doo.

Jacob was surprised and he couldn't imagine why we were throwing him a party when his birthday was a little over a month ago. When he was younger he made himself a cape out of one of his blankets and came up with a song "Super Jake is so Cool, Super Jake does rule" I don't remember the rest of the song but that was the inspiration for the party theme.

My Grandpa and Grandma Gowans showed up in costume... Grandma was voted best costume and so she won the prize for that one.

It was a fun evening full of games, visiting and just enjoying one anothers company. Glad we could surprise you Jacob!!! Thanks Shannon for all the work you did for the party and for hosting it.
