HAPPY HALLOWEEN

My cute little penguin. This picture turned out blurry but it's my favorite one of Anthony in his costume so I had to post it. I just love his penguin feet.

Josie would not stand still while taking her picture. She loves to wag that tail of hers. On Tuesday, she was able to wear her costume to dance class and she spent more energy wagging that tail of hers than dancing at times.

My little trick or treaters. Anthony was getting mad at me every time someone came to the door, he did not like watching me give away candy. As soon as I would put the bowl down he was after it.

And there off... at times I would go out and watch them walk the circle and I would get such a crack at watching Anthony. He was at least 5 steps behind Matt and Josie but he looked so cute carrying his bucket and waddling behind like a penguin.

Look what I found on my front porch!

As soon as this little penguin got home he had to eat some candy. He couldn't stand not being able to eat any of it.

The final results!!

Carving pumpkins

Last night we or I should say Matt carved the pumpkins. Josie wrote her name on just about all of the pumpkins and drew faces on the majority of them. She designed two of the pumpkins with Dad's help. I designed two of the pumpkins, then Matt carved them all. John came over and carved a pumpkin too. We survived the evening with only one cut on Josie's finger(after telling her lots of times not to touch the knives) and Anthony proved once again how hard his head is by falling off the chair, all in all we had lots of fun!! Anthony was pretty funny, as Matt would carve the faces out Anthony would try to eat the pieces of pumpkin. I think that maybe he thought they were cantaloupe or something. I had to keep telling him don't eat the pumpkins.
Here is John's master piece.

Trick or Treat at the Zoo

This weekend we went to the zoo for their annual Trick or Treat. The kids were so excited, especially Anthony. He loves to see the penguins, fish, Nemo, Dori and the sharks. All day long that was all we heard about until we got there. The kids were excited to wear their costumes. As you can see Josie is a pink Triceratops and Anthony is a penguin.
Anthony with the penguins. He looks so cute, at least I think so.Look at all the cute little baby alligators. We got to feel different cat skins. Some of them weren't as soft as I thought they would be.Carri's family showed up toward the end of the Trick or Treat, don't the girls look cute?

A post for Dallin

This post is for my nephew Dallin, who is a huge Star Wars fan. If Shannon ever gets on the computer again maybe he will be able to see it before he turns 5. Here you go Dallin!!! We love you!!

Crazy Kids

911

On Saturday afternoon while I was in the shower getting ready for work Josie heard the phone ringing. Well, it was Matt calling me to tell me that he was on his way home. He had tried calling the house phone and my cell phone. Well, Josie probably tried to answer my cell phone. While attempting to do what ever she was trying to do she ended up calling 911 on my cell phone. My key pad locks but when 911 is dialed the key pad unlocks. Anyways, she comes into the bathroom and I hear her talking to someone. I then ask "Josie who are you talking to?" She answers back "Shannon." She then proceeds to hand me the phone, so I tell her to keep talking while I finish up. I finish rinsing my face then turn the water off. As I come out of the shower I notice she is not talking to Shannon but to 911. I quickly grab the phone and tell the operator that everything is all right and that I was very sorry. The lady was very nice and she said that she had asked Josie to bring me the phone so she could make sure everything was alright because Josie was talking about her dad.

The cool kids

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch last night and since it was chilly outside we put them in their cool leather coats. A friend of ours John, we knew would get a kick out of their coats. So we had to take pictures. Here they are, the cool kids...

WORLDS OF FUN

Over the weekend we went to Worlds of Fun. Boy did we have fun, the weather was in the 80's, it wasn't to busy and everyone was in a good mood. Josie was a little upset that she couldn't go on the Mamba, she thought that looked like a lot of fun. She only has to grow like 10 inches before she can ride it. Poor kid, especially if she grows as slowly as I did. Matt found these cute shirts for the kids to wear. They light up which the kids thought were really cool. Anthony was especially excited to find out that his had Mickey Mouse on it. He even had to show Mickey (his doll) the shirt. Thanks Dad!!
There was a ball play area in Camp Snoopy, Josie went around collecting as many blue balls as she could. In the Snoopy theatre, kids were able to go up on stage and dance with Snoopy and Sally. Josie didn't want to go up there but she did when Snoopy came and took her up there. She really didn't get into the dancing very much, she stood there keeping a close eye on everyone especially Snoopy. Towards the end she did do some dancing with the other kids.Aha!!!! A big spider!!!!!

Anthony's baby

On Friday, while Anthony was laying on the floor he noticed his kitty laying a little out of his reach. As he reached out to grab it he said "that's my baby." I thought that was so cute and sweet!!

The Pumpkin Patch...

Going to the pumpkin patch is an activity that we as a family look forward to all year long. Josie especially loves to go. She starts asking to go back about a month after it closes. So every year we buy the family pass so we can go as often as we want throughout the month of October. There is so much to see and do there that we never get bored. Matt's parents went with us to the pumpkin patch. Grandada spoiled us with cotton candy, caramel apples, dinner and a fun time being with them.

One of our favorite things to do is to ride the train. Most of the time it seems as though we always sit in the caboose.

The kids love to jump on the big blow up pillows. They had so much fun jumping with dad, you could hear Anthony giggle from quite a distance.

Here is Anthony with his caramel apple from his Grandada. It was so cute watching him try to eat that thing.Another thing that we like to do while we are there is watch Zander the dragon. He talks to the audience and interacts with a worker there. Then he eats a pumpkin then "yaks" it all over the ground.

Josie went to the pumpkin patch with her preschool, so Anthony and I met her up there after she was done with her tour through the apple orchard. While we were there look who we found. Anthony was so excited.

There was a goat loose in the animal petting/feeding area. It followed Anthony around looking for food. Josie went up to pet it then stopped saying "It stinks." She did find a pony to pet. She really liked petting it and she made a point of telling me how much she likes horses.

The kids had fun sliding down this big tunnel slide.I thought this was a cute one of the kids on the train. Once again we are riding in the caboose.
