Swim Lessons

This is what Zachary does during swim lessons...he eats pretty much the entire time, if he isn't eating he is whinning because he wants out of the stroller to get into the pool. Yes he loves the water and doesn't think it is very fair that he is not allowed in with his siblings.

This is Makayla's first time doing swim lessons and she loves it... she may be the child who doesn't always listen but she does a great job doing what she is supposed to do. For this session she is doing the preschool class and next session she will go into level 1.

Swim Lessons

This session Josie is doing level 3 and as always she is doing good. She could be in level 4 but I wanted her to review level 3 before trying it in the next session. I have decided that is it time to challenge her a little more and see what she can do in the next level.

Swim Lessons

We have been doing some swim lessons this summer and this session Anthony is doing level 2 and he has been doing an incredible job so far this year. He has always been my very shy and timid child in the water but this year it is like looking at a different child. He will jump into the water from the side of the pool this year do his bobs and even play around and not cling to the side of the pool like he did last year. He is doing his floats by himself and is even doing doing his glides and is trying to do his front stroke. The progress has been amazing this year and we are so proud of him.

Another huge accomplishment is that he will jump off the diving board by himself without being lowered down by his teacher

Josie's Fat Lip

So Josie's last softball game ended with a bang last night. Right before the bottom of the last inning she was just outside of her dug out getting her assignment from the coach when a girl from the opposing team started warming up by swinging the bat right next to the girls on our team when Josie got smacked in the mouth by the bat. I didn't see it happen I must have turned around right after it happened and saw her grabbing her mouth and the other girl who was not supposed to be warming up there standing there looking at her. I quickly ran out there yelling to Matt that I think she just got hit in the face by a bat. We grabbed her off the field and quickly assessed the damage. Her mouth was full of blood and thanks to the coachs wife we quickly got an ice pack on her lip and was able to get her to swish her mouth out with water so we could see what was going on. Thankfully her teeth were all intact, her permanent teeth were not loose and the bleeding was from a couple of cuts in her inner lip from where her teeth cut her gums. Thankfully, though she was okay. Her self confidence was bruised at first thinking she looked like a freak but we insured her that she was still beautiful.

Hopefully this accident won't stop her from playing softball next year.

All's Josie wants for Christmas is her two front teeth

She pulled both out all by herself and the tooth fairy was very busy coming here two weeks in a row... she got a dollar per tooth. Needless to say she was very excited to loose them.
