Makayla

Makayla was four months old on the 4Th of April. She weighed in at 14 lbs. 11 oz. and 24 in. long. For the most part she got a clean bill of health except for the fact that we found out that her labia is sealing shut. So I have to premarin cream on her twice a day to help it open up. I guess the official name for it is "Labial Adhesion's." We started giving her rice cereal and she loves it. With the other two they would spit it out and make the funniest looks but not her she liked it from the first bite. Here she is eating it for the first time plus, I had a little helper helping me feed it to her.

Papa and Grandma's visit

My parents came to visit us a couple of weeks ago and we had lots of fun having them here. We kept them pretty busy by going to the zoo, wildlife safari, children's museum and shopping. The kids had so much fun with them that they didn't want them to go. Here are pictures from the zoo.

Potty Training

One of my least favorite things to do as a parent so far has been potty training. It takes me a while to get mentally ready to take on the challenge. I tried once before with Anthony to potty train and that was a month before Makayla was born. I was not ready to do it and neither was Anthony. My goal though has been to do it before summer arrives. I decided that this was the week to take that challenge with Anthony. We have been talking to him about it and talking about what kind of prize he can get when he is all done. Yesterday was the first day and all morning he peed his pants. Then in the afternoon he only had one accident. Each time he goes potty he gets a sticker on his sticker chart which hangs on the bathroom door. At the end of the day yesterday he had 5 stickers on his chart. Today is day two and so far he has only had one accident and he already has 5 stickers on his chart. I am so proud of him. I was even more proud of him today when we left the house he went potty before we left and since he is new at this I put him in a diaper in case he had an accident. I told him no peeing in his diaper and he didn't. When we got home he was dry and he went to the bathroom right away. Yeah, Anthony!!!

Anthony sayings....

The last six weeks or so Anthony has really starting to talk more and more. My parents were here a little over a week ago and while they were here Anthony really attached himself to my dad. One morning at breakfast Anthony asked "Where is Papa?" I told him that he was downstairs, he then said "Papa is sad." I asked him why and he told me it was because he wants Anthony.
After they left he kept telling me how sad he was because Papa left his house. When he talked to my dad on the phone he told him, "I'm sad, I want Papa to come back to my house right now." He has commented over and over again that he wants Papa to come back and hold him. He has also mentioned that Papa is sad because he wants Anthony.
This past weekend Matt told Anthony no about something. Anthony then proceeds to tell me that Daddy is naughty and that he wants Daddy to go back to work (I thought that was really funny).
Another thing that I thought was really cute was last week I was helping him out of the van and he says "Thanks Mom." I told him your welcome and that I loved him, he then said "I love you too Mom."
