Papa and the kids

Dad came out here over Father's Day for business. While here on business he stayed with us. The kids were very happy to have him here. They didn't know that he was coming until we picked him up at the airport. We were able to take Dad out on the boat for the first time and he even water skied. We went swimming and also went to the zoo while he was here. The kids always enjoy playing with him and they were very sad to see him go home. Josie asked me after we dropped him off at the airport "Are you sure we will see him again?"

A first for Josie

While David and Rose were here we went out on the boat. I got Josie to agree to go out on the tube with me. I think she enjoyed it for the most part. I had a good time with her.

Fun Times

On the 29Th of May we went and took the kids to ride on some rides by the river front. They both especially liked the roller coaster ride. This was Anthony's first time on one and he loved it. Josie kept her hands up the entire ride.

My Hat

Yesterday Anthony found this hat on the bathroom floor while he was going potty. He picked it up and said "this is my hat" and then he put it on his head. He wore it for quite a while around the house and out on the deck.

Makayla

Makayla turned six months old on the 4Th. She had her checkup yesterday and here are her stats.
Weight: 16lbs. 8 oz.
Height: 25 inches


She is a delight to be around. She is so mellow that she surprises everyone how calm and mellow she is. On her six month mark she rolled from her back to her tummy and she very much is trying to sit up for a long period of time. She tightens those stomach muscles trying to get herself back up when she falls.

Somethings that I love about her are: when she smiles it is a whole face smile, her entire face lights up. She is so patient. She thinks Josie is really funny, Josie can get her laughing hysterical. After she eats and when I come at her with a wash cloth she squints her eyes and face just waiting for it (it is so cute). This sweet little girl loves getting her daddy's attention, she will wait patiently for him to look at her then once she gets it she flirts with him.

Funny Josie Story

As most of everyone knows Rose and her family has been here this week. Well, on Monday while cooking lunch Rose said the word shut up. Josie who knows that is a naughty word picked up on that really quickly. She said "Mom, Rose said a naughty word." Rose and I looked at each other and said what did you say and Josie answered "shut up." Josie than proceeded to tell Rose "Jesus died on the holy cross because you said a naughty word." Rose and I looked at each other and tried to keep from laughing.
