So this year at the school where we are at they have the whole school read the same book, it is passed out at open house night and each family gets one. Than the whole school if everyone participates reads it. They have discussion questions for each chapter for you to discuss with the kids. This year we read the book Champ by Marcia Thornton Jones. It was a good book, it was about a dog named Champ who was a former champion show dog but when an accident leaves him with only three legs and a new owner a teenage boy who accidentally caused the accident the two have to learn some new lessons. The boy learns that winning isn't everything and teaches the dog along with his neighbor the sport of agility.
So on the 20th, at the conclusion of one book one school they brought in some activities one night and some Border Collies to demonstrate part of the sport of agility. It was lots of fun to watch and the kids really enjoyed it.
